Michael Baker International is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Business Relationship Managementfor our Moon Township, PA location. Moon is the preferred location, but may consider Alexandria, VA or Hamilton, NJ locations.
The Business Relationship Management Senior Manager provides leadership, ownership and accountability for the relationship between the Executive Sponsors of Michael Baker International’s C-Suite (CEO, CFO, CHRO, CLO, CCO) to Michael Baker International Information Technology Department. The Senior Manager will shape business demand and define solution concepts, serving as the single contact point for leaders of our Human Resources, Growth, Legal and Finance functions. This leadership role includes working directly with Business and IT Leadership teams, to formulate and drive solutions while communicating direction, status and options. This Senior Manager position will work with a team of IT professionals to gather requirements, analyze and provide high-level solution designs, advancing new capability/functionality for these business areas.
The role closely collaborates and partners with Michael Baker International ’s IT Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team, the Project Management Office (PMO) and the IT organization to deliver creative, high quality and innovative business solutions and ensure operational continuity and value realization for years to come.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Extensive and deep Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud HCM (Goal Management, Performance Management, Talent Review and Succession Management, Workforce Compensation, Benefits), Oracle Taleo
Partners with Executive/Senior Business sponsors to formulate business case goals, shape business technology value realization vision leveraging Michael Baker International ’s strategic plans and annual operating plans
Supports the development of strategic business capability roadmap (i.e., defines the case for change, gains investment approval, identifies pursuit opportunities) that aligns with Michael Baker International.
Act as the principal technology advisor to the Business and a champion for identifying, leading and driving information technology transformation including the delivery of annual IT projects, solutions and capabilities
Lead, coach and partner with the ERP team in the collection and definition of business requirements, helping to identify and define critical business processes, guide the solution and high-level wireframe design
Function as a major contributor in the IT Annual Operating Plan development process as well as the out of cycle funding process and help secure project estimates.
Define, capture and measure both pre- and post-deployment ROI for all initiatives
Participate in solution strategy planning and application analytics, providing “out of the box” thinking to identify new opportunities to innovate and create lasting capability, ensuring IT Enterprise Architecture alignment
Act as a liaison between third-party solution providers and ERP, working closely with both to advance new features, innovative technology to deliver enhanced functionality and capability
Collaborate with IT and executive leaders in a matrixed organizational structure to provide innovative, quality solutions which exceed business goals and expectations
Help create SOWs working with the IT PMO, ERP Team and Executive team partners, incorporating aligned requirements and leading respective meetings to ensure understanding and alignment
Partner with IT stakeholders in assessing the IT application & infrastructure portfolios today and design and execute the future state strategy to meet business objectives going forward.
Make recommendations on the strategic use of technology for leveraging business results and working with IT and business stakeholders to incorporate these recommendations into appropriate roadmaps and life cycle plans.
Develop, establish, enforce, and sustain the Enterprise Architecture, including standards and guidelines for: application & infrastructure solutions and technologies, integration methodologies and practices, development processes, hardware platforms, and enterprise data design.
Anticipate and ensure alignment with long term business requirements, ensuring identified change is reflected in the appropriate roadmaps, providing thought leadership in all areas of applied Information Technology, both internally and externally.
Mentor network team, ITS staff, and program members to facilitate growth, internal career development, and overall satisfaction and retention objectives.
Participate as senior member, during hiring process, working towards building a high performing team across Information Technology
Bachelor’s Degree in IT required, Master’s Degree preferred
10+ years IT experience in roles of increasing scope and responsibility including Business Relationship Management, Business Analysis, IT Leadership and IT Strategy development
Extensive and deep Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud HCM (Goal Management, Performance Management, Talent Review and Succession Management, Workforce Compensation, Benefits), Oracle Taleo is required.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of time
Broad understanding of Business and IT functions in the A/E/C industry and processes along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit or function, as well as with leadership and functional teams
Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter to senior-level leaders in business terms
Must be a highly self-motivated individual, with a track record of driving competing & conflicting priorities
Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, distilling and summarizing Business requirements
Ability to Attract, Lead, Coach and Develop a team of high caliber IT professionals setting objectives and managing day to day to deliver results
Strategic thinker focused on business value results that utilize technical solutions
Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience
Highly skilled at creating business requirements documents, use cases, user acceptance test plans, process flow and data flow diagrams
Understands the IT industry, e.g. emerging technologies and trends, industry standards, solution architecture, and the vendor landscape
Experience with application configuration, setup, integration and support in order to help with estimation and ROI analysis.
