The Manufacturing Engineer will produce a positive, profitable, and winning environment for manufactured products. This person will collaborate with product management, sales department, the customer, and other resources to clarify the scope of work for product design, manufacturability, and budget. They will supply clear scope of work to the mechanical engineers to ensure the product meets the customer’s expectations.
The Manufacturing Engineer Key Job Elements:

Generate cost estimates to be used when quoting manufacturing projects.
Work with Engineering to guarantee that the design allows for the most efficient method of manufacturing.
Work with Procurement and Mechanical Engineering to optimize the characteristics of material ordered to allow for efficient manufacturing across a broad spectrum of products.
Work with other resource when required to develop new manufacturing techniques.
Ensure timely compliance with Company workplace policies and procedures, including human resource policies and safety.
Attend technical reviews with Mechanical Engineers.
Perform work in a professional manner.
Requires good problem-solving skills.
Attend project close out meetings.
Some travel may be required.
The Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:
Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing including but not limited to welding, fabricating, and machining of multiple materials or equivalent experience.
Self-motivated and skilled in multitasking.
Strong people skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Fluent in PC based software programs.
Basic CAD software understanding.
Basic GD&T understanding.
Effective communication skills.
Experience in manufacturing for the Vacuum Science Industry
Minimum two years’ experience in planning and coordinating manufacturing activities or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience as a machinist.
Hands-on experience as a welder.
Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related field or equivalent working experience.
