Bachelor degree or equivalent financial services experience in lieu of degree required; Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, Mathematics or Computer Science preferred
Minimum 3 years of business experience required; Mutual fund or financial services industry experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio and Project required
Familiar with mutual fund or middle office operations preferred
Experience managing data in enterprise applications, data warehouses and data marts preferred
Advanced knowledge of securities and fund data preferred
Experience with business and data analysis preferred
Experience with a data querying tool (SQL Developer or MS Access); advanced Excel skills (macros and VBA code) preferred
Ensure data validation requirements are met and adequate controls are in place (BCP, SOX, audit, compliance and other regulatory requirements)
Create and modify data records as part of normal business operations, employing varying degrees of research and analysis to ensure the validity of the data
Analyze and review source file data for reasonability through variance analysis; identify root cause and remediate as necessary
Maintain metadata and other required referential data in enterprise applications, data warehouses and data marts
Monitor ongoing operations, dashboards and workflow to ensure processes are functioning as expected
Design, create and maintain processes and reports to ensure data quality; work with internal and external clients and/or third-party vendors to analyze data quality issues and recommend and implement solutions to remediate identified data quality issues
Identify opportunities to improve ongoing operations; includes business process improvements and data enrichment opportunities
Design, create and distribute reports to internal clients to communicate the state of the data
Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance to internal and external clients and vendors
Ensure the quality and timeliness of the data required to support domestic and offshore regulatory filings, including N-PORT,N-CEN, Article 37, Solvency II, MiFID II and PRIIPs; this data includes registrant information, fund-level information, assets & liabilities, portfolio-level metrics, securities lending, monthly returns, flow information, portfolio holdings, security level detail, instrument characteristics and analytics, valuations and exposures, stress test results, etc.
Support multiple monthly regulatory filings concurrently, estimated to be between 81 & 120 based on current funds and applicable fiscal year ends
Monitor the receipt of all source files into the ArcFiling and Accudelta applications, ensuring files are received within prescribed service level agreements (SLAs); escalate and work with applicable parties (data providers, vendors, BISD, etc.) to resolve potential or existing issues
Manage variance thresholds within the ArcFiling and Accudelta applications; perform ongoing reviews for reasonability and applicability based on historical results; partner with business areas to recommend and adjust thresholds as necessary
Triage data exceptions triggered by established thresholds; escalate to and partner with applicable business areas when necessary
Review and affirm the accuracy of data falling outside of the exception process, with a particular focus on internally sourced data required to support the regulatory filings
Ensure any required data changes are communicated and managed at the source of the data
Build and manage ArcFiling and Accudelta libraries, fund groups and other referential data used to support the ArcFiling and Accudelta applications
Partner with business areas, data providers, 3rd-party vendor solution providers (Donnelley Financial Services (DFIN) and Compliance Solutions Strategies (CSS) and BISD to implement new data files required to support the filing requirements
Partner with business areas to gain an in-depth understanding of the data used to support N-PORT,N-CE, Article 37, Solvency II, MiFID II and PRIIPs regulatory filings (as described above), positioning the team to serve as data experts for both domestic and offshore regulatory data and associated reporting and filing requirements
