SUMMARY National Distribution Company requires a Benefits Assistant for the Saxonburg regional headquarters. Weekly work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Pays $18.00 an hour, with benefits package. Direct hire position.
POSITION Responsibilities include: • The primary focus will be administering workers compensation for the region. • Assist employees and their supervisors in a positive and productive way. • Generate reports as required to provide information for management decision making. • Communicate relevant information with peers and leadership. • Communicate with external partners, including attorneys, insurance companies, and government agencies, as necessary. • This person will be cross trained to provide assistance and back-up to the person that handles regional payroll reporting, benefits and leaves of absence. Will provide back up to the person that handles customer accidents and is likely to absorb these duties when she retires.
REQUIREMENTS • Some relevant experience. And a strong knowledge of workers compensation. • Strong Excel, Outlook, and Word skills required. • Must have professional demeanor and excellent communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to think critically. • Must be self-disciplined and able to work autonomously. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
