The Opportunity

The UX Designer/Developer understands web and graphic design and has the passion and experience for developing user-friendly, efficient, and attractive user interfaces while utilizing today’s UI/UX standards. The Designer/Developer will preferably have experience in e-commerce and mobile applications.  As part of a small and dynamic team, this is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced atmosphere.  The successful person will work within the product group and interact with other designers, developers, business analysts, and product managers to support mobile and web-based e-commerce sites.  We are mobile first so you will need to have that same mind set.  You will be helping with our website, mobile version of the site and the apps. 

Responsibilities

• Interact with marketing and product managers to gather project requirements, concept to finalized design.  It’s a small team so we also have our owner/CEO deeply involved too. 
• Work with our analytics & product team to design and implement A/B testing.
• On occasion, set up & conduct user testing sessions and compile the feedback and suggestions.
• Stay current with web and mobile app design trends and be ready to apply them when needed.
• Work on design improvements of our home page, landing pages, app flow and usage, and more. 
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, as well as the discipline to work independently with deadlines.
• Communicate high level design concepts and user interface requirements from UI architecture design through development of wireframes, user interaction models, and user interface and experience design specifications.
• Working with content writers, business owners, and software developers to ensure a smooth transition from concept to design.
• Adhere to and enforce brand style guide across all materials.
• Document all material site & usability changes in our wiki (Confluence) and work with our analytics team on the impact of those changes.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary.
