The Product Sales Representative will lead the sale of innovative technology products designed to facilitate and support the mission of promoting excellence in oncology nursing and the transformation of cancer care. This is a front-line sales role responsible for developing business with healthcare institutions, physician practices and oncology care centers and will be responsible for all stages of the full sales cycle to include prospecting leads, cold calling, qualifying customers, sales calls and presentations though sale close. This individual is considered a product expert and works in close collaboration and partnership with Center for Innovation and internal cross-functional teams.
Identifies sales opportunities and creates a pipeline of prospective clients in collaboration with the Center for Innovation.
Generates leads through cold call outreach to qualify prospective clients.
Develops and cultivates relationships within institutions and healthcare organizations to identify key decision makers.
Delivers sales calls both virtually and in-person; engages in conversations to identify client needs and provide product education; conducts group presentations, product demos and webinars to present products to client decision makers.
Develops and executes sales strategies and plans specific to the client’s needs; provides regular follow-up and correspondence.
Responsible for meeting assigned sales quotas and creating a diverse portfolio of clients across institutions, physician practices and other healthcare organizations.
Tracks and maintains all sales-related activity and updates accounts in CRM; provides regular sales and ad-hoc reports accordingly.
Collaborates and communicates with internal cross-functional teams to develop in-depth and specialized knowledge of the ONS product lines and insights to ensure success in identifying, qualifying, and developing leads.
Conducts research on competitor and similar industry products; maintains a current understanding of the market environment.
Maintains a current understanding of the challenges within the oncology nursing work environment and patient care settings; stays abreast of current healthcare, oncology and oncology nursing trends and technology.
Understands pricing and value strategy for success in a highly competitive environment.
3-5 years’ experience in business-to-business sales, preferably in a healthcare and/or technology environment; a clinical background in an oncology care setting and awareness of treatments and trends in the oncology environment is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a healthcare field is required (or the equivalent combination of experience and education).
