The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and marketing to support the overall strategy and goals of ONS, which includes guiding the success of ONS products post-pilot phase and leading a cross-functional team in product improvement initiatives. This role sets the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition of ONS products throughout the product lifecycle, gathers and prioritizes product and customer requirements, defines the product vision, and works closely with the ONS Center for Innovation to deliver winning products. Collaborates with Business Development, Marketing, and Information Services to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Vision & Strategy
Sets the product vision and strategy. Clearly articulates the business value to the cross-functional support team to provide an understanding of the intent behind the new product or product release. Owns the product roadmap and prioritizes building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
Responsible for identifying product functionality, requirements, release plans and associated timelines. Coordinates all activities required to bring product to market, including bridging gaps between the cross-functional product support team (Center for Innovation, Marketing, Business Development, Information Services, and Customer Relations).
Ideation, Features & Enhancements
Owns the creative process of researching, generating, developing, and curating new ideas in order to define which ideas that will be promoted into features that will drive the product strategy forward. Will solicit customer feedback to ensure product is meeting needs and address any necessary adjustments. Prioritizes features and ensures alignment with strategic goals and initiatives. Defines feature requirements and desired user experience.
Product Marketing and Customer Onboarding
Defines communication objectives and drives marketing strategy. Collaborates with Business Development to define sales goals. Supports product installation, customer onboarding and training once the sale is complete.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field required; MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in product management, new product development or related area. Nursing or clinical background preferred along with knowledge of healthcare system insights and trends. Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or health industry knowledge.
