SUMMARY We are currently working with a small privately held public accounting firm to identify an experienced Accounting / Office Manager. POSITION OVERVIEW As a working manager, in summary the Accounting / Office Manager will have their own clients, have oversight of all clients in the office, and review the work of accountants. This is a supervisory role with three direct reports as well as indirect oversight of others. This position is open to an upcoming retirement in 2021. • Prepare and review tax returns (personal, small business, S and C corporations, partnerships) • Analyze financial reports prepared by staff for accuracy and reasonableness. • Perform occasional checks and balances on client bookkeeping prepared by staff. • Supervise employees, check for timeliness of work, answer employee questions. • Handle daily operations of the company including speaking with new prospective clients, filing all necessary company forms, ensure procedures are regularly updated.
BASE REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree and an active CPA license required. • In depth experience preparing partnership tax returns is required (minimum of 7 years of experience preferred). • QuickBooks proficiency (version 2018 or higher preferred). • Must be able to work in a paperless environment. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: • Experience with real estate development partnership returns. • Experience with Drake Tax software preferred. • Experience processing payroll and payroll quarterly returns.
