The data engineer will be responsible for empowering the technology platform at Apex Health Solutions. In this role, the Data Engineer will play a critical role in connecting our partners and enabling our critical solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build data-processing pipelines to establish connectivity across the network of payers and providers on a cloud-based environment
• Work with our partners to understand data exchange capabilities and recommend best practices
• Mapping and Understanding of key data feeds and fields
• Ongoing management of data processing jobs and routines
• Development of reporting capabilities

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Computer Science, MIS or equivalent degree
• Proven experience with data engineering & analysis
• Competency with data querying languages and or scripting languages
• Knowledge of emerging data healthcare data standards like FHIR
• Experience with HL7 or other healthcare-related EDI protocols
• Familiarity with both clinical and administrative healthcare data sources preferred
• Experience operating in a cloud-based platform
• Knowledge of cloud-based data resources preferred (Azure Storage & Data Factory)
• Familiarity with working in a regulated industry
• Usage of report authoring tools
• Able to communicate and present complex issues with customers, partners, and senior leaders
