Overall Purpose

The Operations Analytics team at Duquesne Light is looking for a motivated individual to work in a team-based environment for collecting, analyzing, and reporting the Operations Departments’ key performance indicators. The successful candidate will utilize advanced tooling in Python, Vuejs, PowerBI, Excel, and other technology stacks to perform tasks related to the job. These tasks include managing a python codebase that focuses on ETL, data automation, and data visualization. Additional skills in Excel are required to build successful data processes for reporting. The successful candidate shall identify and collaborate with teammates to build automation, data (science) modeling, and process improvement pipelines that allow the business to view meaningful insights. Upon completing any insights, the individual must be able to present at a high level to convey the results and be able to present the data at a technical level. The individual must understand how to work within and lead a team to provide actionable results.

2. Utilize different technology stacks to perform analysis that can create API’s or visualizations that allow the business to make performant related decisions. Must be a self-starter in creating team initiatives. Must be able to lead meetings and build timelines for deliverables.
3. Have an understanding of data structures with the ability to lead projects related to Python, SQL, and Power BI. Focus on object oriented programming and providing actionable outputs to the business.
4. Perform code deployments on the Azure DevOps platform and train employees to assist.
5. Develop ad-hoc reporting and performance-improvement analyses related to the Operations Department.
6. Lead in the process of compiling, proofing, and publishing regular (e.g. monthly), comprehensive reports of the Operations Department’s performance results utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of applications at a quality-level appropriate for consumption by DLC’s executive officers and Board of Directors
