Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking a Project Lead to join the MSA IT/OPS division which has been offering data and insight solutions to the Consumer Package Goods industry since the early 1980s. As a Production/Project Lead you will manage people and/or projects working closely with our customer support team to supply deliverables directly to our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating work internally between the client relations team, QA and IT. You will oversee the work required to manage, update and deliver data to our clients on a daily basis. This work includes master data management, data analysis, data extraction, user acceptance testing (UAT), data cleansing and report generation and data delivery. This position is a great way to build skills in project management, data analysis, client relationships and SDLC. Responsibilities: - Work with Client Service and/or client to recommend methods to accomplish desired results; translate client requirements into operational instructions and question atypical requests; provide time and resource estimates upon request.
- Manage and provide technical leadership on complex projects and is able to proactively identify, communicate and solve business and technical problems providing technical direction regarding project requirements; design and establish criteria for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production implementation.
- Design, document and implement new system processes and procedures applying industry knowledge and technical experience to cut costs, gain efficiencies, minimize risks and reduce time to market with attention towards automation and continuous improvement; make recommendations for technical and process improvements; track and document all process improvements; audit and ensure functional and data quality plans are in place for all projects.
- Work with management team to set standard operating procedures; ensure assigned team is using standard operating procedures and documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate tasks across work groups; Interact and participate in client calls and meetings for assigned projects and new initiatives; set up and lead technical meetings and discussions; document and communicate issues and achievements for assigned projects; escalate issues requiring senior level attention to appropriate personnel.
- Participate in and oversee the implementation of strategic goals for assigned areas of responsibilities; meet with management on a regular basis to review, update and monitor progress of goals; may be responsible to schedule regular meetings with team members to review, update and manage progress of goals.
- Attends ongoing training to achieve personal, professional, and technical improvement; ensure staff receives appropriate training; work with management to determine the training needs for work group; lead the development and delivery of operational training.
- Meet with project team to discuss project plans, deadlines, issues and new work; set priorities and balance resources across project and ensure back-up and succession plans are in place; use metrics to evaluate the productivity of work group; responsible for resource allocation for existing work and new initiatives; may be responsible for direct supervision of employees assigned to their projects; responsible for the work of assigned staff; meet with assigned personnel to discuss career goals, issues, training needs and other work related matters.
