Infrastructure Engineer will have knowledge of cloud ecosystems and their offerings, corporate user administration, and be knowledgeable in system-level Linux and container-based administration. This engineer would be responsible for helping to deploy, scale, innovate and automate a complex network eco-system in a secure manner in Microsoft Azure. In addition, they will be responsible for antivirus, patching, and troubleshooting. We are responsible for the reliability, high availability, monitoring, and automation of a data-heavy system with real-time feeds while keeping an eye on latency, performance, capacity, and cost.
Key member of the infrastructure team implementing and maintaining our cloud and Linux-based systems
Ensure our applications aren’t vulnerable to attack by keeping all aspects of security up to date, monitoring for and preventing intrusions, and patching/anti-virus updates
Uses knowledge of DNS, LAN/WAN, networking, and administration to complete a variety of projects
Handle user administration for software and security across the team
Deploy and configure technologies and corresponding software
Enact processes for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of storage appliances and stored data assets
Establish appropriate end-user access control levels for stored data
Create automation scripts to support deployments and administrative simplification
Research and make recommendations on products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Work occasional off hours to provide support for administration such as patching of production systems
Docker and Kubernetes deployment and maintenance (or similar) in a cloud environment
Prior experience in infrastructure/networking administration and cloud administration
Knowledge of Linux server administration
Proven Azure-specific experience
Microsoft Certifications such as AZ900
Experience with pfSense or similar firewall in a cloud environment
Experience in a healthcare or related IT environment
