Duolingo, Inc. has multiple openings for Product Designer, Engagement in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsible for the following duties: - Collaborate on projects and features with a focus on user engagement as part of a multi-disciplinary team with engineers, UX researchers, product managers, and data scientists; - Design and engineer intuitive, usable, and engaging interaction and visual design solutions that employ high-quality design practices, utilize quantitative/qualitative findings, and follow existing UX/UI systems; - Create low to high fidelity screens concepts, patterns, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas that incorporate the long-term strategy and short-term tactics for products; - Define user models and user interfaces for engagement; - Continuously improve design processes, knowledge sharing, and tools to measurably enhance productivity and product quality.
Requirements: Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or foreign equivalent or Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in related field. Must have two (2) years of experience in designing and building products and prototypes for mobile and web by iterating on design with experimentation and demonstrating an ability to define strong hypotheses that incorporates data into the design process. Must have knowledge of the following: (1) Javascript; (2) Adobe Illustrator; (3) Photoshop; (4) After Effects; (5) Sketch; (6) Figma; and (7) Abstract.
