Duolingo, Inc. has multiple openings for Product Manager, Core Experience/Application Software Designer in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsible for the following duties: - Drive product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration; - Define efficiency and effectiveness metrics for products while working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that product functionality meets or exceeds efficiency and effectiveness standards; - Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems and write functional specifications for the engineering team to implement based on user needs and industry standards; - Identify opportunities for new product/feature ideas that will accelerate/enhance user experience; - Validate user data and develop hypotheses surrounding user behavior based on user research; - Develop and manage the communication strategy that is aligned with priorities and supports innovation goals; - Administer A/B test experiments for product changes; - Monitor key metrics for unexpected effects on usage patterns and anomalies; - Develop prototypes based on user qualitative and quantitative research.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Science or related field. Must have one (1) year of experience in user research, research assessment, user- centered design principles, prototyping solutions, A/B testing and driving product features through their entire creative cycle. Must have knowledge of the following: (1) Python; (2) R; (3) SQL; (4) Figma; (5) Sketch; (6) Azure DevOps; (7) UserTesting.com; (8) Interactive information system design; and (9) Linear and logistic regression.
