We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer II to join our expanding Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for product development and product engineering activities, specifically in the area of mechanical engineering. Design, model, document, test, and modify current and new components and sub-systems. Contribute to specific assignments and perform work which requires application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria of related engineering activities. Principal (Essential) Duties: - Engineer detailed designs, perform analyses, test prototypes, and document completed designs
- Develop design solutions and participate in preparing design concepts
- Develop problem solving techniques to determine root causes for problems, propose solutions, and perform validations
- Use hands-on approach for coordinating, building and evaluating prototypes
- Review, model, analyze, and test to ensure the success of assigned projects
- Participate in reviewing functional specifications, cost targets, and mechanical design requirements
- Work with intra and inter-functional groups to optimize design and communication capabilities; work with external customers, suppliers and subcontractors, depending upon project and program activities
- Coordinate, submit and release design information to be documented for production
- Support the development of manufacturing test procedures and test equipment
- Investigate and solve reported manufacturing and service issues
- May lead development of enhanced Engineering processes, particularly related to mechanical engineering
- All other duties as assigned by management
