Institute for Software Research (ISR) is one of the seven academic departments of the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS). We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to join the team.
Core responsibilities will include:
Assists with pre-award processes, including a focus on compliance issues including formatting requirements, page limitations, reviewing submission packages for adherence to sponsor requirements, etc. Coordinate with Research Administrators to resolve compliance issues.
Assists with post-award monitoring of center-level awards, with a focus on compliance issues and reporting.
Reviews and approves various financial transactions (ERs, PCard, TCard) for compliance with university and departmental policies; refers questionable charges to supervisors.
Prepare and distribute routine financial reports related to department general ledger functions.
Prepare other ad hoc reports as needed.
Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with Administrative Support (analytical) required.
Associate’s Degree in related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
Accounting knowledge and experience with Sponsored Research preferred.
Experience within a financial industry desired.
Ideally looking for someone who is very detail oriented and organized.
Able to perform well under pressure and succeeds within a deadline driven environment.
