Our client has an immediate need for a Systems Analyst who will be responsible for participation on project teams, systems analysis, configuration, integration, and enhancement activities, as well as related maintenance and support. Involved on multiple projects, some of which may be complex in nature.
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, data networking or related field.
6-8 years of IT Infrastructure technologies
Project management, testing methodology for vendor applications, and technical coding skills (examples include SQL, Python, PERL, shell scripting, Oracle/SQL Server DBs)
Experience effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in high-pressure environments with aggressive project timeframes
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Electric utility metering or billing experience is a plus
Participating in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze requirements and provide design recommendations in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Defining and developing the project scope of multiple projects with assistance from the project team
Coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop plans and implement end-to-end solutions.
Supporting the development of third-party applications and custom integration solutions
Serving as a project lead on application projects, including financial and project management for small to medium sized projects
Translating business and technical requirements into cross-functional business application systems and business processes
Providing testing support or coordinating testing activities
Making modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high level specifications and industry standards using disciplined software development processes
Implementing cross functional systems which have been developed or modified
Providing ongoing maintenance of applications or tools, including handling support issues (tickets) within area of expertise. Leading root cause investigations and participates in the On-Call Rotation.
