You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our next-generation data analytics platform in a fast-paced, agile environment. Partnering closely with our Product and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for delivering data-driven solutions to complex business problems leveraging traditional analytics and machine learning algorithms.
Work collaboratively with the data science team to draw insight and intelligence from large administrative claims datasets and various human capital datasets
Identify, design, and develop solutions to strategic business problems using advanced statistical/machine learning techniques
Utilize SQL, R, and Python to perform advanced-level data wrangling, exploration, modeling, and visualizations to support the delivery of targeted analytic solutions to clients.
Work with the support team to identify, understand, and resolve data issues
Assist with the evaluation of data analytic vendors and tools
Experience in computer science, applied mathematics, or other quantitative/computational disciplines.
Experience with open source machine learning or statistical analysis tools. Familiarity with experimental design a plus
Strong SQL programming skills in addition to working knowledge and experience using statistical analysis tools such as R
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills
Strong understanding and experience in researching and resolving data issues with a logical, intuitive, and problem-solving mentality working with large, complex, and incomplete sources
Business analytical skills (process flows, procedures, spreadsheets, modeling, etc.) and a good understanding of design and architecture principles
Proficient in predictive analytics, including real-world experience in model development, validation, and testing.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will frequently interact with the executive team and clients, some of whom do not have a technical background. The ability to discuss models, assumptions, and outcomes in business terms is indispensable.
A track record of getting stuff done with minimum supervision and proven success working with data and software engineers
Strong ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions
Experience with building data products, either internal or consumer-facing
Experience working within a Linux computing environment and use of command-line tools for automating everyday tasks
Experience working in a CI/CD environment using Docker and Gitlab
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Experience working with AWS and Redshift
