We are seeking a skilled and dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. In order to do this job well, you must be obsessed with quality, efficiency, and love working with diverse technologies. You have a strong understanding of infrastructure, application elements, systems management, automation, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). Our ideal candidate is someone who is energized by building scalable technology to support the defense and intelligence communities.
Develop and maintain our current engineering infrastructure; ensuring the environment is properly version-controlled and monitored
Support the implementation of applications, integrations, and application programming interfaces across our cloud-based network infrastructure
Automate critical system processes to maximize service performance, scalability, and stability of our platform
Refine and improve our continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to streamline and enhance deployment and product release cycles
Provision and maintain new hosts and services in support of our Engineering, Product and Data Science teams, including weekly creation of environments, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving problems
Understand risk-based approaches to cybersecurity in the cloud such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and CC SRG
Work closely with in-house developers and engineers to knowledge share and improve quality of practices
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience with systems automation technologies such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
Experience with Terraform
Linux/Unix experience, including command line and shell scripting
Hands-on operational AWS/GCP/Azure experience, including provisioning, managing, and monitoring instances
Programming experience with any of the following languages: Golang, Java, Python, or Ruby
Experience automating systems creation, administrative tasks, and notifications
Knowledge of systems security and experience managing VPN/PKI infrastructure
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with little supervision
A burning desire to tackle hard problems and create sustainable solutions
Experience with container-based architectures (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred
Advanced scripting skills (Bash, Perl, or Python) preferred
Experience with Systems Monitoring/Alerting (Splunk, PagerDuty, Prometheus, Alertmanager) preferred
Experience managing Redis, Djon, Gunicorn, Spring Boot preferred
Previous exposure to cybersecurity frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, CC SRG, 800-171) preferred
Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment preferred
