SUMMARY We are working with a manufacturer of highly customized and extremely diverse specialty products to identify a Manufacturing Process Engineer. Known for high volume and quick turnaround production, our client produces and ships product to over 100 countries across the globe. Reporting to a Director of Engineering and working collaboratively with other engineers within digital, manufacturing, and automation groups, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will add value by leading continuous improvement projects aimed at productivity or quality improvements while supporting several departments in day to day functions, utilizing a balance of analytical skills, ingenuity, and tenacity to establish processes, eliminate variation, and executive initiatives in a fast paced environment. Successful engineers in this environment tend to be creative, nimble, and can pivot quickly.

POSITION • Supports production processes by identifying and eliminating waste. • Executes continuous improvement projects to reduce manufacturing costs and increase product and process quality. • Identifies and adopts best practices across multiple sites. • Designs, manufacturers, improves, and maintains fixtures to support production departments. • Develops and launches new methods to maintain the company’s position as a leader in the industry. • Develops clear and concise work instructions and procedures. • Executes capital projects on time and on budget, with clear specifications and acceptance criteria. • Collects and uses data to identify and correct quality issues. • Investigates, recommends, and implements solutions for production and product related quality, manufacturing, or process issues. • Institute process and equipment changes that reduce hazards.
BASE REQUIREMENTS • BS in Industrial, Mechanical, Material Science, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. • Must demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude. • 2+ years of experience as a process engineer. • Demonstrates skill and knowledge across continuous improvement, setup reduction techniques, data analysis, lean manufacturing, project and time management, and product engineering. • Experience with SolidWorks, Additive Manufacturing, and Machine and Process Automation Design. • Ability to travel up to 10% to North American facilities. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
