The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) cultivates relationships with contributors, alumni, and other constituents on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, generating support for teaching, research, and care. As the hub for development and alumni relations efforts, PAE contributes to a bold, vibrant, and diverse academic community. Primarily, we focus on: • Philanthropy to the University and UPMC which drives innovation and enhances opportunities for students, faculty, researchers, and clinicians. • Alumni relationships expressed across a community of 318,000 alumni spanning the globe. This purposeful, collaborative work—supported by your engagement and giving—ensures that Pitt and UPMC grow stronger each year, benefitting this community, our region, and the wider world. PAE fosters an intentionally inclusive workforce through a diversity framework that commits to collaborating and expanding the culture, identity, and wholeness of every staff member in measurable and deliberate ways. The University of Pittsburgh’s Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement is seeking a Salesforce/Affinaquest Administrator to join a progressive team within our Advancement Services Department. The Division of Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement (PAE) considers its Affinaquest Salesforce database to be its most important non-human resource for achieving its ambitious fundraising and engagement goals for the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC. This database summarizes all advancement activity for more than 350,000 alumni, as well as all friend, parent, institutional, and grateful patient donors and prospects, and is used by 250+ employees on a regular basis. As such, its constant oversight, enhancing, and customizing in keeping with new initiatives and opportunities is of the highest priority. The PAE Affinaquest Salesforce Org has been designed to respond to the specific requirements and functioning of a successful and growing Development and Alumni database, and its continued management is the purview of this new position. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor of Advancement Services, the Affinaquest Salesforce Administrator is responsible for executing on a day-to-day basis the responsibilities of these initiatives and opportunities. The Administrator works closely with department vice chancellors and other leaders, organizational units, Advancement Services business analysts, subject matter experts across PAE, and developers within PAE and across the University to identify, develop, test, and deploy new solutions. The unique challenges inherent in fundraising and engagement data require the Affinaquest Salesforce Administrator to learn and demonstrate ongoing understanding of fundraising at Pitt and proactively seek to leverage the database to meet those challenges.
