We are seeking a Product Service Technician, to join our expanding team.
This role will execute assigned tasks related to the installation, support, and service of ChemImage products.
Principal (Essential Duties):
- Build and nurture positive relationships with customers
- Provide customer service and support for all ChemImage instrumentation representing the company in a professional manner to potential and current customers
- Perform installation of ChemImage products at customer facilities including site inspection, physical installation, performance qualification, and customer training
- Track internal and external customer issues
- Perform on site repairs, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Diagnose issues related to electro-mechanical optical systems and determine proper solutions
- Create and circulate timely and detailed service reports
- Collaborate with members of the product team and work cross-functionally
- Follow standard operating procedures related to all installation/support/service, manufacturing, and inventory control activities
- Produce and update documentation for standard operating procedures, work instructions, etc. at the direction of Product Support Engineer
- Become proficient with ChemImage products and technology
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Electro-mechanical knowledge and experience
- Opto-mechanical aptitude
- Strong computer skills
- Basic electrical circuit knowledge
- Basic knowledge of physics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, when needed, on short notice
- Must be able to read and understand CAD drawings and schematics
- Basic materials, statistics, dynamics, and kinematics knowledge a plus
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree, in a technical field preferred
- Proven field service experience preferred
- Self-starter with exceptional customer service, communication, and self-management skills
- Analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing work loads
- Candidate will be subject to background screenings to gain access to foreign and domestic facilities, a security clearance is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist.
- Maximum unassisted lift = 85 lbs. Average lift less than 20 lbs.
- Exposed to seasonal weather based on geographic region
- Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols
- Exposure to varied travel conditions either driving or flying
- Must adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
