As part of the Technology Services team at Free Market Health, the Cloud Security Technician will be responsible for new user onboarding, user access oversight/management, security compliance, and infrastructure improvements. As part of a growing team in a fast-paced environment, we are looking for a security-focused teammate that can solve day-to-day user needs while improving existing security controls to defend against old and new threats to users and data.
The optimal candidate will prioritize the daily employee experience to ensure continued business operations while reviewing and improving existing operations to ensure data security. This person will become frontline support for our internal user base, manage access and activities across our infrastructure, and contribute to compliance attestations. They must be able to simultaneously work on individual issues while developing, testing, and implementing enterprise-wide improvements.
The specific responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Initial setup and management of OSX and Windows workstations for new and existing employees.
- New user training, access provisioning, and troubleshooting for individual system issues.
- Monitoring systems for indicators of compromise or abuses and establishing alerting and automations to resolve
- Ensuring adherence to compliance frameworks (SOC2) and collecting evidence to support yearly audit submissions
- 2+ years’ experience supporting end users in an office or remote setting OR Computing/Cyber-Security related degree (2 or 4 year)
- Strong communication skills - particularly face-to-face interactions
- Undefeatable positive attitude
- Experience managing public cloud environments in Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with common tooling and concepts such as O365 administration, user access management, configuration management, basic enterprise networking, Microsoft Intune, Datadog, Azure CLI, Python, or SQL
- Previous experience with healthcare compliance frameworks such as SOC2, PCI, or HITRUST
