eNGINE is seeking a Data Warehouse Engineer to support our client in the healthcare space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for activities related to the development, implementation, and support of the data warehouse. This individual will also coordinate with various internal stakeholders to ensure overall requirements, health, and performance of the data warehouse environment.
What you will do:
Participate in the design of the technical and information architecture for the data warehouse, including all information structures (staging area, data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores).
Design, develop, test, monitor, manage, and validate data warehouse activity, including data extraction, transformation, movement, loading, cleansing, and updating processes.
Assist in monitoring system performance, reliability, availability, and recoverability of the DW environment.
Assist in the evaluation, selection, testing, and optimization of BI/DW related hardware and software products.
Develop and apply sound fundamental design, analysis, and data administration concepts, practices, and procedures
What we need from you:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience.
5+ years of experience with data warehousing and business intelligence and/or large and complex database management systems.
Hands on experience using ETL tools.
Strong database schema experience; SQL and DDL with MySQL or Postgres
Working knowledge of data processing using AWS services and best practices.
Experience developing data warehouses using AWS cloud based ETL, storage and analytic services. (Athena, Glue, RDS, RedShift, etc. preferred)
Working knowledge of data warehouse approaches, architecture, and development.
Experience with data integration tools (Talend and MuleSoft)
Experience with cloud based data warehouses (Redshift and Snowflake)
