Overview of Responsibilities:
This is a corporate position in the Finance Department, reporting to the Accounting Manager. This position will have a hands-on role in the USA accounting (including daily transactions and monthly/annual close) as well as consolidation of foreign and domestic entities. This position will perform various accounting functions, including but not limited to daily activity, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, job costing, processing/advising on inventory transactions and cost accounting. This position will provide accurate and timely financials and analysis to management, as well as analytical support. They will interface with all levels of management and employees corporate-wide.
Key Job Elements:
Own and manage the inventory process, including daily transactions, journal entries/ reconciliations/reports for month-end, training of processes, and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Investigate and resolve inventory issues and discrepancies; provide solutions for reduction of future errors
Plan and oversee the cycle count program to avoid yearly physical inventory. Including coordinating with warehouse managers, updating procedures, and reviewing variances. When required, manage yearly physical inventory
Immerse in the ERP system (Microsoft D365), be an expert in the processes related to inventory and understanding in-depth the costing and posting profiles.
Deep-dive inventory turns and slow-moving and provide insight and recommendations
Calculate and review labor and overhead rates; assist with annual budgeting process
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for USA and Consolidated (P&L, BS, CF)
Have a key role in month-end close; prepare journal entries, develop reports, perform reconciliations
Collaborate with others to resolve issues, test, and implement new practices in ERP (Microsoft D365)
Proactively identify and investigate financial variances vs. budget
Participate in other special projects and analysis as assigned, which includes but not limited to system implementation and process improvements
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years Accounting experience
Strong work ethic and integrity
Strong communication and analytical skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office
Preferred
CPA, CMA, or Advanced Degree
Manufacturing experience
Use of Microsoft Dynamics 365
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries
