Overview of Responsibilities:
We are searching for a technical and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician who is responsible for inspecting and leak checking KJLC products in accordance with the KJLC Inspection plan, and for assisting the Quality Control Supervisor in administrative tasks.
Key Job Elements:
Perform visual and dimensional inspection, leak detection, evaluation, using inspection equipment and established quality methods and procedures
Verify compliance of materials and components to requirements
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of standard and complex parts and components per established acceptance criteria and requirements of engineering drawing specifications
Complete inspection forms and update logs
Understand and follow the appropriate safety procedures applicable to each work assignment
Assist QC Supervisor in determining assignments and offering technical instructions and guidance
Discuss techniques, procedures, problems and job priorities with Project Management, Engineers and Supervisor. Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior inspectors
Ensure timely compliance with Company workplace policies and procedures, including human resource policies and safety
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
8 -10 years of Mechanical Inspection, Manufacturing or Quality Control experience or equivalent
Proficient knowledge of CMM operations and programming
Experience with vacuum leak detection
Extensive experience of SPC Inspections
Extensive experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Extensive experience of first article, in-process and final inspection
Supervisory experience or demonstrate ability to lead
Proficient in the use of computer systems and software
Basic understanding of the KJLC’s Quality Management System
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Good verbal and written communication skills
High School or equivalent
Preferred
Expert knowledge of CMM operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office
