Description: The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer responsible for leading a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering cutting-edge web solutions. As a team lead, the candidate will manage a development team, collaborate with project managers, and ensure the timely delivery of quality web applications. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of high-quality web applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver cutting-edge web solutions. Participate in the planning and estimation of development projects and provide technical guidance to the team Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets the project requirements and industry standards. Ensure the code quality by reviewing the code and providing feedback to the team. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to ensure timely project delivery. Stay current with emerging web development trends and technologies and guide their implementation. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers on the team.
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-stack web development Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React, and other related technologies Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby Extensive experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. Strong understanding of web development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards. Proven experience leading development teams and managing projects. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. The candidate selected for this position may work remotely. Candidate may, on occasion, be required to report to campus due to operational needs for meetings, training, or other activities. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess high-speed Internet, and a phone, and to perform the work on a university-provided and managed computer.
