IQ Inc. is seeking a versatile Test Engineer who is enthusiastic about automated testing of devices and hardware in a regulated industry.
This position is part of an Agile multidisciplinary team of engineers who will perform exploratory testing; define, document, and execute tests to measure and assure quality; and will evaluate and improve the development process.
Responsibilities:
- Provide feedback on requirements to make sure that they are clear and testable
- Create and review test cases that include automated, manual and exploratory testing
- Effectively isolate and analyze defects providing detailed steps and conditions or defect reproduction
- Use innovative techniques to find defects and potential enhancements during development
- Write verification test procedures that trace to requirements
- Work with other engineers to improve testability and failure diagnosis
- Participate in team retrospectives and other incremental process improvement activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a test engineer
- Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++
- Automation experience
- Unit test experience (CMake, CppTest, Google test)
- Azure Dev Ops experience (pipelines, repositories)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, batch files)
- Hardware interface experience (LabView, communicating with and controlling remote test equipment, etc.)
