**Position Overview:**This role focuses on analyzing, implementing, modifying, and monitoring application performance. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing server applications, participating in discussions on system requirements, and aligning objectives with business needs and performance goals. Decisions made in this role have a significant impact on the corporation and the operational efficiency of the Technology Department.
**Work Model:** Hybrid - Candidate must be willing to work 3 days on-site in Pittsburgh or their other location north of the city.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
Provide technical and business support to defined end user groups.
Monitor system health, review logs and reports, and escalate issues to vendors.
Possess technical proficiency in business requirements, application administration, and performance, and be capable of working across all phases of hardware, software, and application activities.
Analyze, implement, modify, and monitor application performance. This includes monitoring and tuning server applications, as well as recommending system requirements and objectives based on business needs and performance goals.
Identify, explain, and resolve application performance issues.
Implement installations and upgrades, offering technical guidance on the business implications of application performance.
Assess and recommend modifications in functions and services to support evolving business needs and growth. This requires strong technology project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with business partners and Technology teams.
Enhance the reliability and performance of business applications. Troubleshoot system hardware and software, solving complex business problems with hardware, software, and databases.
Monitor and fine-tune systems to achieve optimal performance and minimize downtime. Review data to address capacity limitations and performance issues.
Conduct hardware and software audits proactively. Exercise autonomy in determining assignment objectives and act independently on defined project tasks. Develop plans and receive direction from management. Act as a liaison with vendors for assigned applications.
Leverage technical competencies in business requirements, application administration, and performance. Work at a high level in all phases of hardware, software, and application activities. Provide technical and business support to a defined end user group. Monitor system health, review logs and reports, and escalate issues to vendors.
Work independently or as part of a team to achieve results. Follow change control procedures and propose and discuss application changes. Collaborate with Technology, Project Management Office, business partners, and Technology teams to achieve business goals and objectives.
Collaborate with vendors and external support personnel to resolve issues and enhance performance. Work with vendors to fully leverage the application platform for maximum advantage.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
