Federated Hermes has a new opportunity for an ETF Investment Analyst in the Fixed Income group at our Pittsburgh headquarters. As an ETF Investment Analyst, you will provide research assistance to senior portfolio managers regarding the analysis and trading for ETF product; conduct ongoing research and analysis of ETF-related issues; review sectors and assist with determining what to buy, what to sell, and optimal timing for pricing. This position acts as backup for portfolio manager to assist with managing ETF, by doing special analytical projects, analyzing trades, and modeling different trading scenarios.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics or related discipline required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and professional and/or military experience may be considered. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of fixed income investment analysis experience required.
Excellent Excel skills including modeling required
CFA a plus
Proficiency with Bloomberg AIM and portfolio management systems preferred
Solid programming skills and experience with data visualization software a plus
Demonstrated quantitative experience preferred
Experience in ETF in-kind trading mechanics in the share creation and redemption process preferred
MAJOR DUTIES:
Act as point of contact for ETF share creation/redemption inquiries.
Monitor portfolio analytics and generate and run accurate orders through the trade cycle.
Working with the PM and data analytics team, utilize programming skills to create new tools designed for portfolio management and efficient trade modeling.
Liaison directly with the portfolio management team on the day-to-day modeling of the strategy.
Attribute fund performance and understand and sources of portfolio risk relative to the benchmark.
Collaborate with coworkers in other investment management departments to request for other teams to review bonds.
