Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for nearly half a century has given market leaders a competitive edge in data management, analytics, and technology. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II to join the MSA’s Life Sciences division the help expand our mobile portfolio for the Health and Fitness communities.
The individual will be responsible for establishing and automating quality assurance and compliance processes for web applications, mobile applications, and other projects within the division. You work with development, testing, and product teams to create, publish, and implement software quality assurance plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. You will also conduct test planning, writing test cases/scripts, manual testing as needed, test case automation, and test execution. Finally, this individual defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
Responsibilities
Build an automated testing platform for both web and mobile products: the ability to envision and create scripts for automated app testing is essential to this position
Analyze system and business process requirements and design test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure test coverage
Execute manual and automated tests at all test phases to verify application readiness for production implementation
Work with the project team to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle, including reviewing specifications and identifying and resolving software defects
Validate developer-implemented resolutions to defects
Configure and manage test environments for software testing
Perform continuous risk identification with appropriate escalation
Identify, track, and report effective Quality metrics
Required Skills:
Requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
Minimum two years related work experience in Software Quality Assurance testing and analysis including experience with automated testing
Experience in automation and testing GUI applications (web and mobile), Javascript, and backend database functionality
Experience defining test strategies, test plans, comprehensive test cases, and scripts
Experience with all types of testing: Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, Negative
Ability to analyze requirements and ability to elicit additional information concerning requirements from stakeholders
Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in both Waterfall and Agile environments
Ability to utilize automation testing tools, preferably Test-Complete, Selenium
Experience in mobile test automation using Appium
Experience or working knowledge of object-oriented programming (C++/C#/Java), is a plus
Performance and security testing experience is a plus.
HL7 Interface testing and data migration testing experience is a plus
Hybrid in-office and remote work with majority of time being remote. Candidates must currently live in the Pittsburgh, PA region or be willing to relocate due to occasional in-office work
