Role Overview

eNGINE is hiring a GIS Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain geospatial applications that support spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization. This role will work closely with business analysts, cartographers, and fellow developers to deliver scalable, high-performance GIS solutions used in client-facing web and mobile applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and support GIS applications and tools supporting spatial data analysis, mapping, and visualization
• Write clean, efficient code to connect GIS functionality into custom workflows and applications
• Work withspatial data and integrate GIS technologies
• Manage spatial databases
• Develop dashboards, visualizations and interactive maps, dashboards, and geospatial visualizations for stakeholders
• Collaborate with other developers+ business analysts, to translate requirements into GIS-based solutions
• Optimize performance and scalability of in-house GIS applications handling large spatial datasets in web and mobile environments
• Troubleshoot and manage GIS-related

Skills +

• Strong working knowledge of Python, JavaScript (React or Vue.js), or C#
• Proficiency with GIS integrations and  platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS etc
• Experience with ArcGIS Server or other cloud-based GIS platforms
• Experience with cloud technologies

Education +

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS,  Geospatial Technology, GIS, or a similar
• 3+ years of experience in GIS development or a similar role
• Experience with spatial databases
