Responsibilities may include any of the following:
Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices using AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway.
Build, configure, and manage real-time data ingestion using Amazon Kinesis Data Streams.
Integrate and manage user authentication, authorization, and user management using Amazon Cognito User Pools.
Secure API endpoints by configuring Amazon API Gateway with Cognito authorizers to enforce access control based on JWT tokens.
Develop and implement solutions centered around capturing, processing, and analyzing live video feeds using Amazon Kinesis Video Streams.
Create API endpoints using API Gateway, configuring routes, and managing integrations with Lambda functions and other AWS services.
Design and implement NoSQL data models in Amazon DynamoDB to support low-latency and high-throughput application requirements.
Implement and manage in-memory caching layers using Amazon ElastiCache (Memcached) to improve application performance and reduce database load.
Write clean, testable, and efficient code for Lambda functions in Python utilizing layers for shared code.
Optimize application performance, security, and cost-efficiency within the AWS ecosystem.
Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Implement and maintain automated deployment of serverless and streaming applications.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in development, staging, and production environments.
Stay up to date with new AWS services, tools, and best practices and share knowledge with the team.
A qualified candidate will exhibit most of the characteristics below:
Technical skills:
Proven experience as an AWS Developer, with significant hands-on experience using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
Strong experience developing and working with real-time data streaming technologies, specifically Amazon Kinesis Data Streams.
Demonstrable experience with Amazon DynamoDB, including data modeling, secondary indexes, and query optimization.
Experience with in-memory caching solutions, particularly Memcached (using Amazon ElastiCache), for session management and query result caching.
Proficiency in the Python programming language.
Experience with other AWS services like S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Solid understanding of serverless architecture, event-driven systems, and microservices design patterns.
Version control: Proficient use of Git for collaborative development and code management.
