Premier Automation is hiring an Experienced Robotics Technician to join our team in Monroeville, PA. We’re a full-service automation integrator specializing in custom electrical control solutions—including robotics, drives, and industrial systems—for manufacturers across North America.

Position Type: Full-time, salaried role with compensation based on experience and technical expertise
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daylight hours (on-site role with occasional field support)

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Robotics Technician, you will:
Independently program, install, and configure robotic systems and industrial automation equipment, ensuring accurate setup and thorough testing in both in-house and field environments
Troubleshoot and debug robot programs to maintain smooth, reliable operation
Diagnose and repair system components, including conveyors, robot end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), control panels, and pneumatic systems
Perform on-site maintenance at customer locations to ensure optimal system performance
Apply robot dress-out procedures and follow strict safety protocols
Take initiative to provide design and process improvement feedback based on hands-on field experience, and collaborate closely with engineering teams
Travel locally 10–20% of the time, mostly within a 2-hour radius
Experience and Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who bring:
An associate degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience, with 5–7 years of relevant robotics and automation experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with Fanuc or other industrial robot systems, with a strong preference for direct Fanuc experience
Proven experience independently programming, troubleshooting, and debugging robotic systems in real-world environments
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic)
Proficiency with hand and power tools to assemble and install equipment
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
A team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
A self-motivated, independent work style with the ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks
