Overview of Responsibilities:
Working under the direction of the Product Manager, the Product Specialist will develop an expert knowledge of the assigned products, understand KJLC’s place in the market and how our product offering presents solutions to customer needs. The Product Specialist will answer technical questions from the sales team and directly interact with customers and suppliers. Additionally, the Product Specialist will assist the Product Managers in resolving quality concerns, product testing/development, marketing content, ERP system data, and training of sales force on the assigned products. Collaborate with other departments within the organization such as Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality Control, IT, Manufacturing, etc. as necessary.
Key Job Elements:
Must have a complete understanding of all technical aspects of the product line, the principles of operation, the various applications for which the products are designed and used and the products strengths and weaknesses relative to the competitor products.
Have an in depth understanding of the applications in which the products are used. This technical expertise and application knowledge is critical since the Product Specialist must be able to...
(1) disseminate sales related application information to the KJLC sales force
(2) work with vendors and/or KJLC Engineers to further develop applications and seek out new applications
(3) aid in selling products, either directly or indirectly with the sales force.
Motivate the sales force to sell the assigned product line(s).
Responsible for training the sales force on the technical aspects of the product as well as the applications.
Help sales close orders when necessary.
Assist product management in tracking sales for each region and offer potential solutions for the underperforming areas

Qualifications:
Required
Bachelors of Science or related education or equivalent working experience
Strong technical aptitude and knowledge
Fluent in the English language with strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Open to travel domestically and or internationally
