eNGINE is hiring a Senior VMware Engineer to join our team and support a high-scale virtual infrastructure with more than 100 ESXi hosts. This is a high-visibility, hands-on position where you’ll help drive strategic planning and day-to-day operations within their VMware environment.

This is not a routine support role—this position requires depth of knowledge in the VMware stack and the ability to own remediation, upgrades, and strategic direction. You will be heavily involved in data center operations, security patching, and VMware software suite management including Aria, vReps, and Site Recovery Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade VMware software environments (vCenter, Aria, SRM, vReps)
• Plan and implement system updates, security remediations, and long-term infrastructure improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues related to the VMware stack
• Collaborate with other infrastructure team members to ensure performance and stability
• Document false positives and participate in strategy discussions on infrastructure improvements
• Lead or support VMware-related project initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience managing large-scale VMware environments (100+ ESXi hosts)
• Hands-on experience with VMware Aria Suite, SRM, and vCenter
• Understanding of virtualization strategy, patching, and remediation processes
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with enterprise data center operations and IT security standards

Preferred Certifications

• VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
• MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
• CIAE (VCE Vblock Certification)

Additional Details

• Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site 5x/week
• Work Environment: Enterprise data center, collaborative IT infrastructure team
