Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire an experienced UX Designer to support product-focused and GUI-driven design initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer with a strong portfolio who can translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences across both digital and physical interfaces.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in user-centered design, excels at wireframing and prototyping, and is comfortable collaborating with product managers, engineers, and leadership to drive design decisions from concept through execution.
Responsibilities
Design user interface wireframes, mockups, and interaction models using modern GUI design tools
Create and communicate design concepts through sketching, visual storytelling, and digital and physical prototypes
Produce sketches to conceptualize physical device interactions and workflows
Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, metrics, and design critiques
Create stimuli and artifacts to support user testing and design research cycles
Develop style guides, copy patterns, information architecture, and contribute to design systems
Present design concepts and deliverables to cross-functional stakeholders for feedback and approval
Assist in defining user scenarios, use cases, and design requirements
Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders, external partners, and end users
Create clear design documentation and support user research activities
Advocate for user-centered design principles and evolving UX/UI best practices
Required Qualifications
Portfolio demonstrating UX, product, and GUI design work is required
Bachelor’s degree in a design-related discipline such as Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional UX design experience
Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability testing, and rapid prototyping
Experience designing for web, mobile, and embedded GUI environments
Technical Skills
High proficiency with Figma
Strong experience with design collaboration tools such as FigJam and Miro
Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Experience creating iconography, animations, and micro-animations
Strong sketching and storyboarding skills
Experience building information architecture models and style guides
Hands-on experience creating both digital and physical prototypes
Additional Skills
Ability to interpret complex technical documentation
Strong written communication skills for reports and research findings
Confident verbal communication and presentation skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
