Oxford Solutions is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer for a 6-month onsite contract opportunity based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers the chance to work on complex hardware design and development projects supporting high-reliability, long-lifecycle systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complete hardware solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and design-for-obsolescence practices.
• Participate in all phases of hardware development, from concept and design through testing, validation, and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure technical consistency and high product quality.
• Contribute to defining design methodologies and best practices for ongoing hardware development.
• Support verification, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide input on technology strategy and assist in future product roadmap planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, including full lifecycle product design.
• Strong background in microprocessor, microcontroller, and FPGA (Altera and Xilinx) design and development.
• Proficiency with FPGA design tools and experience designing products for EMI/EMC compliance.
• Knowledge of industry or government hardware design standards.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.
